South Lane County Fire & Rescue will be holding a Budget Committee Meeting at Station 201 located at 233 E. Harrison Cottage Grove on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. This meeting is to review and approve the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2021/2022.

This meeting will be done remotely to be in compliance with the Governor’s executive order. All public comments can be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. through Thursday May 19^th at 3:00pm and will be read at the meeting.

Please note that no outside public will be allowed at this meeting.

If you would like a copy of the proposed budget, you may pick one up from the Office located at 233 E. Harrison Ave Cottage Grove, OR 97424 from 8:00am to 5:00pm on May 18^th, 2021, or on our website at southlanefire.org.

LANE COUNTY — The Lane Fire Defense Board and Oregon Department of Forestry have extended the spring outdoor burning BAN in Lane County through Friday as fire danger remains elevated across the region. The season is expected to re-open April 24, 2021.

BACK YARD BURNING WILL BE CLOSED FROM 04-15-2021 TO 04-21-2021 DUE TO THE FIRE WEATHER FORECAST.

FireMed applications for 20/21 are no longer being accepted for the month of April. Information about the FireMed program can be found on our FireMed information page by clicking HERE. If you are interested in FireMed for the 21/22 year please return on or after May 1, 2021 when our online application system will be enabled.
