How Do I Become A Reserve Firefighter?

Volunteering is a valuable and rewarding way to serve your community.  Becoming a Reserve requires intense training and dedication both physically and mentally.  If your ready to make the commitment to the community and South Lane County Fire & Rescue then please call and request a Reserve application.

South Lane County Fire & Rescue also utilizes Student Residents. Student Residents are an integral part of our daily crews and work side by side with our career staff to provide for the needs of our community. 

Our Student Resident program is intended for motivated individuals who are looking to begin a career in the Fire and EMS industry. Student Residents are provided with lodging and a monthy scholarship, as well as tuition scholarship for up to 12 credits toward their Emergency Medicine or Fire Science degrees.
