Fire Danger Restrictions
Due to the increased wet weather over the past week, the following fire precautions are now in effect in the borders of the South Lane County Fire & Rescue Fire District.
Gas and charcoal briquette barbecues are allowed, as long as they are not on or adjacent to dry/dead grass, brush or trees. Barbeques must be attended to at all times; and a hose, shovel, or fire extinguisher must be present.
Small ceremonial, cooking, or warming type fires are permitted in fire rings; as long as they are not on or adjacent to dry/dead grass brush or trees. Fires must be attended to at all times; and a hose, shovel, or fire extinguisher must be present.
Bon fires are not permitted.
Open burning of yard debris is not permitted.
Power Equipment; such as mowers, weed eaters, tillers etc. may only be used until 1:00 PM.
