Welcome to South Lane County Fire & Rescue
South Lane County Fire & Rescue (SLCF&R) proudly serves both residents and visitors in Creswell, Cottage Grove and rural South Lane County. SLCF&R provides fire protection, rescue, emergency medical services, fire prevention and code enforcement services, per ORS Chapter 478. SLCF&R is located just south of the Eugene / Springfield area of western Oregon, along the I-5 corridor. The areas previously served by the Cottage Grove Fire Department, the Creswell Rural Fire Department, and the South Lane Rural Fire Department, were merged into the South Lane County Fire and Rescue district in 2003.
2013 Seattle Stair Climb
7 Firefighters from South Lane County Fire & Rescue will be participating in the 22nd Annual Scott Firefighter Stair Climb fundraising event in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event requires participants to scale 69 flights of stairs in full turnout gear. In 2012, 1550 firefighters from 291 different departments brought in a record $1.2 million for blood-cancer research and patient services.
